Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, life-changing kiss. Then she got out of a terrible relationship. Now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for plan B: college. And maybe she’ll have a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.
Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone—especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about is kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.
As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Teresa can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…
I love the whole girl-and-brother’s-best-friend relationship. I don’t know why. But I do. And Be With Me is no exception. Teresa Hamilton is Cam’s little sister, who briefly appears in Wait for You. And Jase, my darlings, is Cam’s best friend. Armentrout takes a slightly different approach with Teresa and Jase’s relationship. They’ve already had a taste of each other, and while it didn’t go anywhere the first time, they’re both left wanting for more. Can’t say I blame them.
Lately, Teresa’s been going through a tough time–she busted her knee so has to wait a couple of months for it to heal in order to go to dance school, and the guy she’s been crushing on for practically forever won’t even look at her. To top it all off, she still hasn’t quite let go of the feelings and guilt she has over Jeremy. Still, she’s at school and she’s trying to make the best of it for the little time she’ll spend there.
Jase Winstead isn’t your typical player. He’s got some secrets and no time for relationships. However, he just can’t seem to take his mind off of the unexpectedly hot kiss he shared with his best friend’s little sister. Now they’re at the same school and he just can’t seem to stay away from her, no matter how hard he tries. I really enjoyed getting to know Jase. He was sweet and sexy and cheeky and quite charming when he wanted to be. Plus, seeing him interact with his little brother, Jack, brought on the awwweee‘s and the feels.
Like always, Ms. Armentrout knows just how to write one hell of a sexy scene, and Be With Me had quite it’s fare share of those. Tess is all for having a relationship with Jase. She’s been in love with him for quite some time, but Jase has his reservations. Still, I couldn’t help but root for them. They’re both scarred on the inside but they leveled each other in such a great way. It isn’t just about hormones and lust between them, but the promise of a family. Nevertheless, that didn’t take away from the deliriously sexy times they had going on. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Ms. Armentrout, bravo to you. Bravo to you.
Be With Me takes an unexpected turn halfway through the book, turning this into not just another New Adult novel, but into a bit of a thriller, mystery as well–which was very refreshing. Not only that, but it was good to hear back from Cam and Avery as well as some other new characters. I can’t wait to see what Armentrout does with the next book in the saga, Stay With Me, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy it as much as I have her previous novels.
Once again, Be With Me is a sexy, decadent read just bursting at the seams. You definitely can’t go wrong with this one!
